We are delighted to remain open, welcoming our guests back to Blue Waters. With a more positive outlook on international travel in 2022, we look forward to welcoming back many of our repeat guests as well as new guests to Blue Waters in the near future.

Our mission is to provide a more premium and memorable Caribbean experience, whilst guaranteeing the health & safety of our guests and Team Members. As a result, we have enhanced our health & safety protocols, as well as our service offering, to include a more premium food & beverage service to compliment these measures. These measures are designed so that you will feel confident that you will remain in a safe environment, whilst not distracting from the high quality experience you would expect at Blue Waters.

The Government of Antigua & Barbuda is introducing a Tourism Guest Levy for all guests from 1st October 2021. Please see further information below.

Arrival into Antigua VC Bird International Airport

All guests 18 years and over must have received at least one dose of a WHO approved vaccine. All Covid-19 vaccines administered in the UK are WHO approved. Please take proof of your vaccination to be shown on arrival.

Arriving guests must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 3 days of their arriving flights into Antigua. Please note this test is regardless of vaccination status and applies to all arriving guests aged 5 and over.

The PCR tests must be an ‘in clinic administered’ test rather than an ‘at home’ test

Children aged 4 and under  do not require a COVID-19 test to be taken.

All arriving guests must wear a face mask on disembarkation of the aircraft and in all public areas in Antigua airport. Additionally, the wearing of face mask in public spaces is mandatory throughout Antigua and Barbuda.

All arriving guests must complete a Health Declaration Form and will be subjected to screening and temperature checks by Port Health Authorities upon arrival in Antigua and Barbuda. The health declaration will be handed out for you to complete on your arriving flight.

Departure from Antigua VC Bird International Airport

Some countries (including USA & Canada) require a negative Covid Antigen test to be taken no more than 72 hours prior to departure from Antigua VC Bird Airport. Blue Waters Resort & Spa are delighted to announce that we can offer Covid Antigen testing on site at the resort. The cost is US$70 per person. Please ensure you book this with the front desk on your arrival at Blue Waters.

ALL guests of ALL ages require an antigen test prior to departure from Antigua to travel back to the USA

Guest from the UK are no longer required to take an Antigen test prior departure back to the UK.

You must provide the original test result notification. It must include the following information:

  • your name, which should match the name on your travel documents
  • your date of birth or age
  • the result of the test
  • the date the test sample was collected or received by the test provider
  • the name of the test provider and their contact details
  • confirmation of the device used for the test, or that the test was a PCR test

The test certificates provided from Blue Waters Resort & Spa will contain all the necessary information above. The airline must receive the test results at least 4 hours prior to your departure from Antigua.

**UPDATED UK INFORMATION  – Updated 6th December 2021**

All passengers aged 12 and over arriving into the UK from 4am on Tuesday December 7th 2021 are now required to take an Antigen test within 2 days prior to departure back to the UK. Guests under 12 are not required to take a pre-departure test back to the UK.

You must provide the original test result notification. It must include the following information:

UK Visitors – Rules for return to the UK for arrivals from 30th November 2021

  1. Before you fly back to the UK, book and pay for 1 COVID-19 PCR travel tests to be taken on or before day 2 after your arrival into the UK (arrival day is day zero).   2. Complete a passenger locator form online https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk
  3. If you are travelling back by British Airways, you can upload all your documentation onto the Verifly App, which will be sent securely directly to the airline.
  4. You must self-isolate in the UK until you have received a negative result back from your test (regardless of vaccination status)

US Visitors – Antigua CDC Level 3 – Return to the USA

Before you travel back to the USA, you must –

Complete a Covid Antigen test within 72 hours of boarding a flight back to the USA (ALL visitors of all ages)

Tourism Gust Levy – for stays from 1st October 2021

The Government of Antigua & Barbuda has introduced a new Tourism Guest Levy, which is applicable for all guests staying overnight in accommodations on the islands of Antigua & Barbuda.

The Tourism Guest Levy is a charge applicable to all guests 6 years and over for each night of the guest accommodation period in Antigua.

This is US$5 per guest per night.

The levy is applicable for ALL bookings for arrival from 1st October 2021.

The levy will be collected locally at the resort and added to your final bill prior to check out.
