With 365 beaches, you can visit a new paradise everyday of the year and never visit the same place twice.

The beach is just the beginning… with the UNESCO World Heritage site of Nelsons Dockyard, Antigua Sailing Week which is one of the top regattas in the world with an average of 200 yachts entering each year. Or join the party each August for Carnival, with steel bands and plenty of dancing.

The Blue Waters Beach Hotel, as we were originally known, opened its doors in 1960, making us one of the longest established resorts on the island. At that time it was owned and operated by Mr Osmond Kelsick, who had the distinction of being the only Antiguan squadron leader in the Royal Air Force during World War II.

By 1984, Blue Waters had grown to 45 rooms when it was sold to Englishman Mr Ronald Randall, who had fallen in love with the property whilst vacationing with his family. Today, Mr Randall and his family work closely with the management team to ensure Blue Waters maintains its welcoming atmosphere that can only be achieved in a family owned property.

2010 marked the hotel’s 50th anniversary, and we now boast 116 rooms and suites plus 4 villas. Over the years Blue Waters has won multiple awards, including the World Travel Award for the Leading Hotel in Antigua & Barbuda for the past 6 years in a row and Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Award for our contribution to the island.

Of the many repeat guests that return to Blue Waters year after year, most would agree that while many improvements have been made at the resort, Blue Waters still retains the same charm it had over 50 years ago.
