One of the few disadvantages of life on a tropical island is that we have to contend with mosquitoes at certain times of the year. As a general precaution we would recommend that guests keep bedroom doors closed from early evening.
To control the spread of mosquitoes we undertake our own treatment program. This is normally done on a weekly basis and is called “fogging”, because of the smoke the process creates. Although the smell is quite strong it is not harmful and quickly dissipates. Even our beautiful butterflies are not affected.
