Cades Reef is a 3 mile long barrier reef located on Antigua’s beautiful Caribbean Sea coast. This coastline is known for its abundance of powder white sand beaches and tropical fauna. Cades Reef is one of the most popular spots in the Caribbean for scuba divers and snorkelers. The reef consists of a protected inner area where much of the reef’s varied marine life resides, and a protected outer area suitable for snorkelers and divers of all experience levels.

Barbuda, Antigua’s sister island, is one of those very few islands in the Caribbean that remains–and probably will remain for some time—so untouched as to seem positively deserted at times. With the exception of the guests of the island’s small number of accommodations, the population seems largely to consist of the graceful frigate bird (a type of large sea bird). As the birds possess a marked preference for the northwest lagoon, Barbuda’s seemingly endless white and pink sand beaches are left to the peaceful wanderings of those lucky enough to sojourn here. Barbuda is located approximately 27 miles to the north east of Antigua.
